Tony`s Diner in Seymour

I've never had a bad meal here. The owners are always friendly and happy to see you. Too bad we just moved over an hour away... I'll miss going here.

Tony's is a small "mom and pop" diner that is run by a husband and wife team. There are always "regulars" there chatting and dining. My wife and I love it there, as the staff is friendly, the food is good, and they have really good coffee.

The owner of this resteraunt should be ashamed of themselves for not allowing a grieving man who's wife recently passed, eat here the day before Mother's Day by himself. Have some respect for your customers. I will never eat here, heard the food is horrible anyways. Heads up to anyone, if you want to go eat at this place by yourself, turn around because they only allow 2 or more people to eat at their resteraunt, no single bodies allowed. Disgusting. Belittling.

Very sad you would deny a man who wanted to eat alone. I will be telling everyone I know not to go to your restaurant. I feel so bad for this poor man who just wanted to eat at a restaurant alone and couldn't because he didn't have two or more people.

My favorite breakfast spot! Great retro diner. Tony and his wife Carmella are warm and welcoming. Tony makes the best omelettes and home fries!

The food was good! Cute little place. This place doesn't deserve the two stars it has. It's understandable that single people aren't seated at the booths as there is only 4/5 booths that seat two people comfortably. It's a very small place. I feel like if you were a single person that wanted to eat there and sat at the counter top, I don't see why that would be an issue. Anyway good food, good experience, and nice waitress.

Food is good dinner very small

I drove by this place everyday for months, and finally was able to stop in. The food was bland and pricey, but the service was good. I will not go back there. That's not to say it was the worst food I have ever had, just not good enough.

First time I have ever rated something publicly.. dont usually go through the trouble.. have a heart, and dont deny an elderly gentleman service because he is alone.. will grab a mcmuffin at mcdonalds before coming here now

I always come here with my family. It is always clean, food is great and always fresh and the woman in front is lovely.

Small town dinner that makes the best food.

I have been going here since i moved to Seymour 15 years ago. Every time I go in to pick up my order they are he sweetest people to greet you and always to make sure your satisfy with your order. Love this place !

This place has been a staple in Seymour for years. The food is great and the owners are wonderful & caring people. I find it very hard to believe they would ever refuse service to someone because they were dining alone.I have eaten there several times alone. At tables & the bar.I feel bad they are getting blasted for a story that is being taken way out of hand. Get the facts and both sides of a story before you blast a small business

Small historic diner with limited, ordinary food; burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, etc. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms are tiny.

Mom and pop (son works there too) with great omelette selections and standard breakfast fare. Good coffee and hashbrowns, Tony's omelette outstanding. Very small with a few booths and counter service. Attentive service and welcome feel.

Good food, good service, good people, nice clean place, always a good meal. I usually get take out, but do eat in occasionally. I don't know what everyone is complaining about by saying they don't let you eat by yourself. I go there and sit alone at the counter all the time. Now, I believe they do not want single people sitting at a booth made for 4, but that would probably be because they only have 6 booths in the entire place, so that is understandable.

Very simple old fashioned diner. Service was very good, food was fine. Nothing sets this place above amy other. I was suprised that they do accept credit cards after seeing the place.

My breakfast was yummy. Everything was fresh, I had a sausage, bacon egg & cheese on a hard roll with homefries, man was it delicious. My husband had a chili dog and french fries and they were delicious as well! Fries were fresh and not soggy the chilly was a little spicy just like we like it.The people were nice and friendly.I definitely recommend Tony's Diner!

Great food & lovely people.

Early opening dinner. Opens at 5am. The owners wife and daughter are the waitresses here. They are very prompt with service and the food is good.. try the homemade Italian sausage, very good!!

Quaint dinner in town. Seating is limited but worth the trip and wait . Service is quick and staff is friendly. A must try if your in the area. Food is consistent and prices area reasonable. Good Olde fashion dinner fair at its finest !

I stopped in this morning for a bacon egg and cheese omelets. It was small, not much cheese or bacon and they charged me $9.85!! That is for the omelette alone! No home fries, no toast!! All I wanted was the omelette!! They should be ashamed. Never again will I allow myself to be ripped off like this. Burn me once, shame on you,, burn me twice, shame on me. SHAME ON YOU "TONY's DINER! Places run like yours never stay in business long. Good riddance!
